Moonland
‘Moonland’ experiments with ideas of place and narrative through its imagined landscapes and figures. With a range of influences, from Biblical stories to Southern Gothic to video games, I play on the similarities between lunar and desert landscapes in their isolating yet cosmic qualities. Through the central ‘pilgrim’ character, I try to draw the viewer into a series of interconnected images which visualise experiences of anxiety and disassociation.
